THIRD GRADE LETTERS PAGE 5
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Obama,
My name is Ramsey Clyde. I live in Atlanta. I am 9 years old. I am writing to you about the Iraq war. Two people I know have died in this war. I want people to stop dying.
This issue matters to me because I want people to stop dying.
You should let the soldiers go to Afghanistan and fight there. If you think about it we already won the Iraq war.
My family is donating money to charity. We are donating more money to kids.
Sincerely,
Ramsey Clyde
Dear President Obama,
I am Zachary Propp and I am in third grade. I hope you can fix the economy. I want you to fix the economy because my mom lost her job and she is a lawyer. What my mom said is that the economy is very bad and her father lost his job and he started his own company and is practically rich.
I want you to encourage people to start new businesses and save as much money as possible. Have any of your friends had something bad happen to them?
Sincerely,
Zach
Dear President Obama,
My name is Luke Wickenden. I'm in 3rd grade and I go to The Children School in Georgia. I'm writing to you about the Israeli war. I learned about the war on the radio.
The Israeli war is important because Palestinians are shooting missiles into Israel. Israel's Governor said that for every Israeli that gets killed they will kill 100 Palestinians. Palestinians should not be shooting missiles into Israel because millions of Israelis can die.
I think you should try to end the war or win the war. I think you should just concentrate on the war. Then work on the Economy. I hope that you can get more soldiers in Israel.
I'm making the world a better place by recycling cardboard and any thing that can be recycled.
Sincerely,
Luke Wickenden
Dear President Obama,
My name is Landon W. and I'm writing to you about cigarettes. I want you to stop letting people throw cigarettes on the ground. This is important to me because I don't want to have a polluted earth.
You are doing a great job being president. I am a big fan of yours.
I save energy by turning off the lights. My sister is a big fan of yours. And she cleans up her room too much. My mom and my dad all voted for you and we are trying to save the world from pollution.
Also we are trying to help you to make the USA a better place.
You are a great President & I hope I will be the president of the United States of America. I hope I'll meet you someday. Keep up the good work. Stay cool.
Malia and Sasha are very blessed to have a father like you. And I have a restaurant named after me called Landon's Restaurant.
Sincerely,
Landon Wilson
Dear President Obama,
My name is Sofia Bella D'Alesio but you can call me Sofia. I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I am 9 years old and I am a third grader at The Children's School. I have an issue about dogs that I want to talk to you about. I would like to get rid of dog catchers.
I think dog catchers are sometimes mean. If dog catchers see dogs on the loose they should return them to their owners or find them a home. They should not be mean to them because the dogs feel sad and lonely. Dog catchers should always have dog food and treats for any dogs that are homeless.
I love dogs and so does my family. I don't like to see dogs on the loose or hungry. The dog catchers should get rid of the sticks that choke the dogs and buy dog food and dogtreats instead. At home I am writing about my feelings and thinking what to do about dog catchers. My family does not hurt dogs. When I see a dog I always give the dog a treat.
Sincerely,
Sofia Bella D'Alesio
Dear President Obama,
My name is Dylan Ponquinette. I am 9 years old. I go to The Children's School. I am writing about the economy because people are losing too much money.
People have spent too much money and lost their homes. Some people spend too much money for cars. A lot of people lost their jobs. I heard on the news that parents were buying too many toys on Christmas presents.
I would like you to make a speech about the economy and tell people to not spend too much money. They should use their money once in a while for important stuff like bills and houses and food.
I want the world to be a better place. I am saving my allowance so that I can buy a toy when I really really want one. At school whenever we leave the room we have to turn off all the lights to save electricity. I reuse water bottles. Thank you for listening.
Sincerely,
Dylan Ponquinette
