THIRD GRADE LETTERS PAGE 4
Dear President Obama,
My name is Kala. I am writing to you about education. I live in Atlanta and I am in third grade. My parents voted for you.
I am writing to you about education because
kids are the future and if we are taught badly there won't be a good future. I think kids should have fun while they are learning. Kids should be able to have one-on-one talks with their teacher.
I am afraid to go to a public school because I think that the people there are going to be mean. You should make sure that the people at the public schools have more money and that the teachers are nice.
At home I've been turning off my light in my room and all over my house. I only use the lights I need. Sometimes when I am in the dark I use a book light to read my book. I really think you can change our world's education.
Sincerely,
Kala
Dear President Obama,
My name is Emma Grace. I love rats. I think that you should try to stop feeder rats. Pet stores treat feeder rats badly. They let them get sick; they let the rats get pregnant And they let the rats get mites.
I think you should help feeder rats, because every living thing deserves respect, and they are just little innocent animals.
It affects our family, because our house is full of rats. People have dumped off rats at our house, because they say they didn't have enough time to take care of them. Also people have gotten feeder rats to feed to their snakes and their snakes don't eat them. So we end up with them.
I think that you should close down places that sell feeder rats, especially Petco. Petco disrespects animals and they sell feeder rats. I think that you should make it against the law to sell feeder rats.
At home we don't ever go to Petco. We usually try to tame the rats so they can go to a loving home with more attention.
Sincerely,
EMMA
DEAR PRESIDENT OBAMA,
MY NAME IS JAMESON WALL AND I AM 9YEARS OLD. I LIVE IN DECATUR, GEORGIA. I AM WRITING ABOUT MAKING NEW JOBS.
THIS ISSUE MATTERS TO ME BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE LOSING THEIR JOBS AND THEIR HOMES. SO CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE SOME NEW JOBS SO THAT PEOPLE CAN MAKE SOME MORE MONEY AND KEEP THEIR HOMES?
I AM MAKING THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE BY PICKING UP TRASH AND BY NOT LITTERING. I AM ALSO GIVING FOOD TO HOMELES PEOPLE WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY IT.
SINCERELY,
JAMESON
Dear President Obama,
My name is Nicholas Greene. I am 9 years. I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I go to The Children's School. I am writing about the economy.
It is important because people are losing there jobs, homes and money. People are using there money unwisely. I think you should do something about this.
You should send more money to the bank. Then the bank can give the people money.
If people still use their money unwisely you should tell then to stop that. You can also make jobs so people can have money.
I have given money to homeless people who are poor and need some money. I am also doing fundraisers to help people who need money with Jack and Jill. At my school we donate stuff to people to who need clothing and books.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Greene
Dear President Obama,
My name is Omar Swaray. I go to The Children's School and I am in Dianne and Vassel's third grade class. I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I am very exited that you are President because you have the heart to stop the Iraq war and stop all the people dying in it.
This is a big deal because all the families who have family members in the war who are dead or wounded from the war are very sad. Even the families who have not lost a family member are still worried that their family member will die. I and my family pray that no more lives are taken in this long and sad war. I think this effects our community because random people are called to the U.S army. What I want you to do about it is to please end this horrible war.
What my family does every year to help rebuild the economy is every Christmas we give away one toy each to a kid who does not have much money.
Please bring our county to peace.
From,
Omar Swaray
Dear President Obama,
My name is Kennedy Crittenden I live in Smyrna Georgia and I am eight years old. I go to The Children's School. I am a huge fan .
I am writing to you about the Economy. The Economy matters to me because a lot of people are losing there jobs and there homes and money.
I am sad that people are being fired for no reason and they were doing a good job. I think mostly everybody thinks this wrong should be righted.
I am helping the economy by saving money and I am turning off lights. My family cooks a lot more than we used to. If we run out of food that we like, we take different things and make it something we all like.
I hope that you can apply these changes as fast as you can.
Sincerely,
Kennedy
Dear President Obama,
I'm Jack Lewis I go to The Children's School in Atlanta Georgia. I'm 9 years old and I'm in the third grade. I'm here to talk about the Iraq war. I think that you should stop the war because millions of lives are gone. Please either stop the war or make peace with Iraq.
My opinion is that the innocent are getting harmed so please stop the Iraq War. The Iraq war is causing homes to be destroyed, people injured and people are forced to move away.
I conserve energy every day, I use less paper, and I recycle so should everyone else too.
While others save energy, try stopping global warming. And make eating while driving illegal.
Jack Lewis
Dear Obama ,
My name is Rebecca Magruder and I am 8 years old and I was born in California. I am writing about littering.
I see a lot of food, cigarettes, cans and bottles on the highway. I hope you can help the earth get better. Some people do not care about the earth and how much people litter the earth. I hope that you can help the people that litter not litter. It would be wonderful if the ground would be clean. Everyone should send a letter to you about a problem with the earth. They should also help clean the earth themselves.
You should tell the people of the United States to stop littering, and for every person to pick up 3 pieces of trash.
At our school we pick up 3 pieces of trash after lunch or fruitbreak.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Magruder
Dear President Obama,
My name is SAM BERMAN & I am in 3rd grade at The Children's School in Georgia. I am writing about the Israeli war.
The Israeli war is important because Palestinians are shooting missiles into Israel. It is also important to me because I am Jewish and I don't want all of Israel to be destroyed by missiles. It is also important to me because the people of Israel have to go to bomb shelters every hour.
I would like you to stop this issue because the people of Israel do not want to hurt populated areas because the cannons that shoot missiles, the cannons are built into some schools. And a lot of people got killed already.
At my school we are having a green fest some time in April. At home I am using less paper and energy. Also at school my class turns lights off when we go outside.
Sincerely,
Sam Berman
