THIRD GRADE LETTERS PAGE 2
THIRD GRADE LETTERS PAGE 2
Dear President Obama,
My name is Korie Mathis from third grade. I think that lots of kids need an education and to be in a good school. Lots of kids who go to bad schools don't know a lot of things that kids do in good schools.
Some schools are bad because some teachers are very cruel. Some of the kids are bullies and are mean to each other. Sometime there aren't enough funds for the school.
I think we need more money for school supplies. Schools need more money for playgrounds. Kids need to be able to learn at their own pace.
If you can help change a kid's life to become intelligent those kids can have pride in what they do. So if you can help a child you can change a kid's life.
What I do at school to help people is to help them when they fall down like when my friend Lauren is hurt I try to help her out as best as I can. She is my best friend in the whole world.
So what I think that we should do at school to be helpful is that everyone should help a friend.
Sincerely,
Korie
Dear President Barack Obama,
My name is Bradley Snipe and I live in Atlanta Georgia.
My grandparents live in Chicago and my grandmother's
name is Angela. I am 9 years old. I am writing about the
economy and how to make it better.
To make the economy better we can stop spending so
much money. We can try not to lay people off from their
jobs. My uncle got laid off from his job because the city of
Chicago ran out of money to give to the people that
work for the city of Chicago. He went to a job interview and he got to meet all the people that work there except one person that was not there and he got the job. My other uncle lost his job also.
I don't want people to lose their jobs.
To help global warming I am recycling. My parents are
helping the economy by saving money.
Sincerely,
Bradley
Dear President Obama,
My name is Malik Compton. I‘m in the third grade. I would like to talk about war.
War can get very annoying, violent, cruel, and weird. Letting another country fight a war in our country could destroy the White House, like the British destroyed the White House a long time ago. War equals destruction. But if we have peace, every country will have peace and that means that the world is peaceful. Otherwise other countries could destroy our homes. So President Obama, can you stop war? I decided to ask you because you are the president.
I am helping by bringing peace to my classroom by stopping arguments and I help make things fair.
You are a great president!
Malik
Dear president Obama,
My name is Faiz . I am in third grade at The Children's School in Atlanta Georgia. I really want to stop global warming .
Global warming kills trees, which can humans and animals need. Another reason I believe we should stop global warning is that if we don't, in a long time there will be no earth.
I think you should make a law so people turn electricity off when they aren't using it, and I would like you to make a law that you can't throw away recyclables. Also I think you should make a law that people should make assignments on both sides of the paper.
I am also doing things to help the earth here are some of them: I turn off the lights when I leave the room. I am also recycling plastic, paper, aluminum, and glass. And I don't take long showers.
Sincerely,
Faiz Essa
Dear President Obama,
My name is Alanna Quinn Pearson. I am in third grade at The Children's School in Atlanta, Georgia. I am writing this letter about mixed up issues such as gay rights, the economy, and pollution.
Black people and women have gotten their rights, why can't gays get theirs? What's the difference between boys and girls getting married and girls and girls getting married? Why? They are all people just like Blacks and whites. There's no difference.
My Dad is the fourth boss in the bank Suntrust. He comes home worried because he has to fire his friends. I hope that people will find jobs if they are fired or if the people that fire them let them work until they find a new job.
Pollution is bad. There is nothing good about pollution at all. Pollution can pollute are water and air. In hundreds to thousands of years we will still need water and oxygen and the more we pollute it the less we will have.
Our school is participating in The Green Cup Challenge. The Green Cup Challenge is a challenge that schools take part in to try to save the most energy.
I am glad that you were elected President.
Sincerely,
Alanna
Dear President Obama,
My name is Thomas Cartwright and I live in Decatur, Georgia. My issue is that we have an energy problem. The polar bears are in a global warming because we are wasting so much gas & energy.
We need to stop wasting electricity, energy, water & food. I'm trying to save energy by turning off a light if no one is using it and save water by putting water into a jug.
Sincerely,
Thomas
Dear President Obama,
My name is Lauren Mowry. I live in Atlanta. I am nine years old. I go the The Children's School. I want to tell you about endangered animals. Pandas are endangered because the people in China are cutting down the bamboo and the pandas don't have enough to eat. I really like pandas and I would not like it if they got extinct because they didn't have enough food.
I am writing to ask for your help.
Maybe you could talk to the leaders in China and see if they could do something about all of the forest that is being cut down.
I am going as green as possible. I am also going to pick up trash in parks. I turn off my lights when I leave my room and house. I recycle and reuse my water bottles and my brothers play with them.
Love,
Lauren Ann Mowry
Dear President Obama,
My name is Max Young I live in Decatur, Georgia.
My issue is global warming and how it is destroying animals that live in the Arctic.
I am convinced that we should turn lights off and let the sun provide light.
I would like you to help people turn off lights to save electricity. You can go on television and tell people to turn off lights.
I have been doing my best to stop global warming turning off lights in a room that is not in use.
Love, Max
Dear President Obama,
Hello my name is Maya Ming and I'm writing this letter because I want people to stop littering on the beaches. Because of litter seagulls get their beaks stuck in plastic rings and turtles swallow plastic bags.
I think that people shouldn't be allowed to eat on the beach because lots of people leave their trash on the beach thinking it is someone else's job to clean up their mess. This affects me and my family because in the future we may not have fresh water to drink.
I think you should pass a law that all people who bring trash to the beach has to clean up everything that they brought and leave the beach cleaner than they found it.
This year at my school we are doing The Green Cup Challenge. The Green Cup Challenge is about which school can help the earth the most. I am recycling more and saving more water.
Sincerely,
Maya
Dear President Obama,
My name is Eli and I am 9 years old. I am from Atlanta, GA. The issue that I'm writing
about is that there is almost no water left in
Lake Hartwell.
I think you should do something about it.
Because all the fish will die and people that
own houses can't enjoy it.
Another reason I think you should do something about it is that people can't go boating and swimming.
I think you should ask the Corps of Engineers if they could stop letting out water.
At home I am saving water by taking shorter showers and I am turning lights off.
From,
Eli
Dear President Obama,
My name is Vinny. I am 9 years old. There are people getting hurt around 3:00 in the morning. It matters to me because I want people to be safe and not beat up. People are breaking into other people's homes and taking a lot of stuff.
My friend got robbed at 3:00 o'clock in the morning. They took almost every toy he had. They took his WII too. He came to school looking sad. Please help by having police working at night.
Once there was a man who got kicked in the stomach at 3:25 in the morning. He got knocked out. He had to go to the emergency room. The man who kicked him did not get caught until 3/30/09.
So I want people to stop being violent. Please help us help us. You are a great president please we are counting on you. Help us please.
I am helping by not watching too much TV. I am turning off lights when I leave the classroom. I am saving energy.
From,
Vinny
